Angela Horvath is the Deputy Head of Division Translational Precision Medicine and leads the COMET Module “microONE – Microplastics and Health”. She earned her master’s degree at the University of Vienna and her PhD at the Medical University of Graz where she also obtained her venia docendi in 2021. She focuses her research on microbiome-drug interactions and biomarker identification, supported by her affinity to statistics and complex data sets. She thrives on challenges and her solution-oriented way of thinking has resulted in several inventions in her field of research. Her motivating and empathetic personality contributes to an uplifting team spirit and efficient work environment.
