On September 23, 2024, CBmed celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of groundbreaking advancements in biomarker research and precision medicine. Since its inception in 2014, CBmed has grown into a major player in the biomedical field, specializing in the identification and validation of biomarkers that facilitate personalized treatments for various diseases, including cancer. The organization’s strong partnerships with industry leaders, like Boehringer Ingelheim, and its collaborations with top research institutions such as the Medical Universities of Graz and Vienna, have positioned CBmed at the forefront of translational medicine.
At the core of CBmed’s success is its cutting-edge technology. The Ex Vivo Compound Screening platform enables personalized drug testing by assessing how specific compounds interact with patient-derived tumor models. Their innovative Microbiome Research explores how microorganisms influence human health, leading to the development of new therapies for various diseases.
