Abstract
After learning how micro- and nanoplastics interact with cells in the lab, the next step is to understand what happens inside a living organism. In our study, “Biodistribution of Nanoplastics in Mice: Advancing Analytical Techniques Using Metal-Doped Plastics,” we explore how these tiny particles travel through the body. By adding trace amounts of metals to the plastics, we can track their journey more precisely and see where they accumulate in different organs. This research helps us move from simple cell studies to a more complete picture of how nanoplastics behave in complex biological systems.
