Jochen Urthaler joined CBmed in 2026, bringing more than 25 years of international leadership experience across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Operational Excellence, Project Management, and Data & Digital Transformation. He holds a Diploma Engineer degree and a Ph.D. in Food Science and Biotechnology from BOKU Vienna.
In his dual role as Director of Business Development and Director of Data Science, Jochen drives strategic partnerships and data-driven innovation, supporting CBmed’s mission to advance applied precision medicine through collaboration and high-quality biomedical data solutions.
Known for his collaborative leadership style, Jochen values teamwork, open communication, and turning ideas into tangible results. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, gardening, skiing, golf, and DIY projects.
